Setting up your Pinnacle homepage
The Pinnacle homepage is built in Shopify’s theme editor using drag-and-drop sections. Pinnacle has one of the richest homepage layouts of all Fuel themes, with several commerce-forward sections designed to drive browsing and conversion. This article walks you through the default layout and the key sections to customise first.
Opening the homepage editor
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize. The homepage loads by default. All your homepage sections are listed in the left panel — drag them to reorder, click the eye icon to hide, or click the + button at the bottom to add a new section.
Default homepage sections
The Pinnacle demo ships with the following sections pre-configured:
| Section | What it does |
|---|---|
| Promotion Bar | A slim full-width banner at the very top for sitewide promotions, discount codes, or announcements. |
| Shop Our Range | A horizontally scrollable category browser — unique to Pinnacle. Lets customers filter and explore your full product range by category. |
| Collection List | Collection image tiles for navigating to specific categories. |
| Promotion Blocks | Editorial image tiles with overlaid text — use for seasonal campaigns, featured categories, or brand content. |
| Collection Tabs | Tabbed product grid for browsing multiple collections on one page. |
| Product List | A curated grid of individually selected products — good for a hand-picked “Best sellers” or “New arrivals” row. |
| Featured Collection | A product grid pulled from a single collection you choose. |
| Shop The Look Grid | A styled image grid where customers can click on a look and shop the products within it. |
| Featured Product | Highlights a single hero product with its full media gallery, variants, and Add to Cart. |
| Email Signup | Newsletter signup form. |
| Featured Blog | Your latest blog posts. |
Where to start
- Promotion Bar — Add a current offer or your main value proposition (e.g. “Free shipping on orders over £50”).
- Shop Our Range — This is Pinnacle’s standout feature. Set up your product categories here first — it’s the primary navigation tool on the homepage.
- Collection List / Collection Tabs — Connect your main collections so customers see your actual products and categories.
- Product List — Hand-pick 4–8 of your best-selling products for this section.
- Shop The Look Grid — Add a styled photo and tag the products in it. This is one of Pinnacle’s most conversion-focused features, especially for apparel and lifestyle brands.
- Promotion Blocks — Use for a seasonal campaign or brand story image. Replace the placeholder with a strong editorial image.
